Hi Mira,
Linda M. from Barb’s Books and Chat here. I hope you and Susie don’t mind me butting in, but I found one of former World Traveler’s entry on NBIEIII in the archives. Hope this helps.

Former world traveler says:
Susie;
I have been around the world by boat and I enjoyed all the countries I visited. As a geologist I went on a nearly month long field trip to Norway, the Oslo area and Sove(that o has a slash thru it but never mastered using characters, and Trondheim area;Swedent I was on a unforgettable field trip from Demark ferry all the way up the country to the Kiruna ironworks in the far north. Really I loved Peru, the Caribbean islands I visited, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England, Benelux, France, Italy, Germany, Switzweland, Portugal, India, Sri Lanka. Australia New Zealand.
Going as a geologist I fitted right in and met great people with my interests. I just wish I could have gotten to more countgries, like Japan, China, Tailand, Russia etc etc. Never pass up a chance to go on some kind of special interest trip. I still regret not climbing the Mountains of the Moon or any of the other African major peaks. The guy that was going to take my ski buddies and me there died in a plane crash in Zaire.

Hi Linda,
Thank you very much for this.
Such an interesting account, isn’t it?
You haven’t happened to run into her somewhere recently, by any chance? I’d just like to tell her that I didn’t simply abandon the project.
Best
Mira
